Christmas 2015
1:00 PM
We had wonderful, joy-filled and relaxing Christmas. I hope yours was too! There have been little presents from family under the tree for the past few weeks, but Aria could have cared less, so to her surprise on Christmas morning they had multiplied and she learned they are supposed to be ripped open ;).
With each package her eyes lit up and excitement escalated. Each present had to be completely opened; "open peeeeeeez!", before proceeding to the next.
We followed the 'something you want, something you need, something you wear, & something you read' rule, knowing that grandma's and grandpa's and Uncle Steven were going to fill in any possible blanks with all sorts of fun things.
New sippy cups and bows filled her stocking, and some new books, "Harry the Dirty Dog"
and "Panda Bear, Panda Bear"
were read several dozen times. The Little People collections are her favorite right now, so every animal aboard Noah's Ark
and that lives on Old McDonald's Farm
were all over the living room like landmine's awaiting an unsuspecting bare foot.
A big Christmas breakfast is a tradition, so once we were full of pancakes, sausage, eggs, bacon & coffee - or milk ;), we ventured over to Grandma's house for more Christmas fun. Her favorite gifts from them was the bright pink & green Mega Bloks
and the little wooden train set. Each time a tower was constructed, Aria's job was to demolish it while exclaiming "whoa!, whoa!, whooooa!". So fun!
Ribbon Sweaterdress | Fur Boots | Fur Vest (Old Navy - sold out)
The dogs and cat ditched out while Seth and Steven took to learning how to operate their new drones while we played in a wrapping paper jungle.
We returned home for a long winter's nap and then headed back in the evening for dinner.
On one of the days the rain stopped so we took the opportunity to have a couple family pictures taken by Seth's brother Steven...
It took everything we had to get a smile out of Aria..
I must have went in for a kiss while little-miss-serious-cheeks and I somehow missed Daddy making this face..
I love them so! Merry Christmas to you and yours, now on to New Years!
